Services of The Veterans Law Group
The
Veterans Law Group (VLG) is a law firm exclusively representing
disabled veterans and their dependents. Most veterans
begin an appeal representing themselves before getting in
contact with a qualified veterans disability lawyer.
To have traveled that far, most have undoubtedly struggled several
years with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We appreciate
the frustration and difficulties involved in fighting the
system.
One of the most important strategies for winning your claim at
the VA is to be sure to obtain additional medical opinion evidence
to support your claim.
WE PROMISE
TO OBTAIN ADDITIONAL MEDICAL OPINION EVIDENCE ON YOUR BEHALF,
IF APPROPRIATE. WE WILL ALSO ADVANCE THE COSTS TO OBTAIN
THIS MEDICAL OPINION EVIDENCE, AND THESE COSTS WILL ONLY BE SUBJECT
TO REIMBURSEMENT IF YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL IN OBTAINING BENEFITS.
Our fee agreement for our law servcies is quite favorable to veterans.
We operate on a contingent basis, which means
if you are unsuccessful in your claim, you will owe us nothing.
We only get paid if you receive back pay.
At
no expense, we would be happy to evaluate and discuss your case.
We make this commitment to you, regardless of the difficulty of
your case.
Representation at the Regional Office (RO) and Board of Veterans'
Appeals (BVA).
As you may be
aware, a new statute went into effect giving
claimants the right to hire an attorney if a Notice of
Disagreement is submitted after June 20, 2007. Prior to this
new statute, claimants were not able to hire an attorney in the
early administrative stage of their VA benefits claim, but only
after a denial from the Board of Veterans’ Appeals.
Securing legal representation
as a disabled veteran early in the claim process
will help ensure claims are fully developed “up front,” and force
the VA to satisfy its legal duty to assist and comply with its
own laws, regulations and procedures. For this level of
legals representation, please mail or fax a copy of your Rating
Decision.
Representation at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC).
This level of legal representation is available to appellants
with a recent (within a 120-days) denial from the BVA.
Please mail of
fax us a copy of your BVA decision. We must first
review the decision before we can say if we will be able to assist
you with your case. Alternatively, fill
out the Consent
to Release of Information Form (please
follow the link, print the consent form and fax it to us).
Please understand that completing and signing this form will not
obligate you to hire us as your attorney.
We are committed
to providing the services and legal representation you need when
looking for a qualified and experienced veterans disability lawyer.
