An act involving conscious wrongdoing or known prohibited action; willful misconduct involves deliberate or intentional wrongdoing with knowledge of or wanton and reckless disregard of its probable consequences. Benefits are not payable in cases where an injury, disease, or death was the result of willful misconduct.
